Bob, Rick and I went to Cold Water, Michigan and fished Randall Lake, one of the Cold Water Chain of Lakes today. There are five lakes in this chain and all are very good to fish.

We had a good day fishing and a great day catching fish. We had 52 fish in the live well when we quit for the day. There were a few small bluegills and several very large ones. Rick caught the largest of the day.
Although my companions out fished me today, I probably had the most fun. This was my first time fly-fishing in many years. I wasn’t sure I could handle a fly rod properly or at least cast without hooking someone in the boat. I was prepared for a most embarrassing day. I discovered that fly-fishing is like riding a bike. Once you know how to cast you can do it again but maybe not as well as one would like. It was a great day and I did catch a lot of fish. I am looking forward to tomorrow.
On the way from the lake to the house we rented, we encountered a rainstorm. It didn’t last long but it would have been uncomfortable on the lake.
According to the weather forecast this is just what we can expect tomorrow. Oh well, if the fish don’t mind the rain we shouldn’t either. Now here is the final picture of the day. This is what 104 fish fillets look like in the freezer. Thanks Rick and Bob for letting me help with the fish-cleaning chore.
