January 27, 2008

We are now at Lazy Days again. We are picking up our new motor home. Yes, I did say new motor home. We really liked our 2007 but wanted to change a couple of things. This one should be our last for a while. We now have everything we want. This one is still a Fleetwood Bounder like our previous RV.

This is at the switch area. Our new home is on the right.

This is one of the things we wanted to change. We wanted chairs instead of a booth. The table pulls out and we have two more chairs.

Since we have a convection oven we wanted a cooktop without an oven. We also wanted the lighter ash wood instead of the dark cherry. The other change I wanted was the Workhorse chassis.

Those of you who follow our blog know we do a lot of things with our friends Richard and Vera. Well guess what they are doing now? They are also here picking up their new motor home. Unlike us, they are trading up to the next level. They are getting a Fleetwood Southwind. It is really a beautiful coach. It has three slides instead of the two like their previous one. They changed to chairs instead of a booth, a cooktop without an oven, a larger convection oven, a side-by-side refrigerator, Corian counter tops and much more.

Our motor home is on the right then Richard and Vera’s new motor home and the third is their Bounder. Our cars are in front of the motor homes.

Here you can see Richard moving things from the old to the new.

Here Vera is trying to find the perfect place for everything on the inside her new home.

Our first day we were parked just eight inches apart. We could open our windows and pass things back and forth. It was easy to share breakfast.

We will be here for a few more days and then we will head back to Kissimmee. If you are in the area, stop by and see our new homes.
