Today we went to the Duneland Fall Festival at the historic Cellberg Farm in the Indiana Dunes State Park. Jeanette and her “String-A-Long Quilt Guild” were here demonstrating their many talents.

This is Jeanette and her friend Vickie Rodenbeck.
Here Vera is learning how to make tiny lace flowers.
Horse drawn wagon rides were available.
We watched a plowing demonstration by an antique Huber tractor.
A farrier was explaining the art of shoeing a horse.
They have a garden with beautiful flowers and vegetables on site with this silent helper to keep the birds away. On the way back to the campground we stopped for dinner at Ryan’s buffet restaurant where we all tend to eat too much. We will exercise more tomorrow.
