We are now at Bill & Jeanette’s camping area. Bill & Jeanette pulled their motor home out of the barn and are camping with us next to the garden. This is a great place with lots of grass and fairly level ground. As you can see in the picture below, we circled the RVs around the campfire and screen room. This is the first time we have had the opportunity to use our new screen room.
After getting the motor homes in place, Bill got out his Model T Ford and we went exploring on the farm. Richard, Vera, Brandy, Bill & Jeanette rode in the car and Charlotte drove the tractor with me as a passenger. We drove down the lane so Richard and Vera could see more of the farm.
Doesn’t this look like a lot of fun?
After returning to the house, we wanted to do something with more exercise than riding so we all walked back down the lane to the end. This time we took more time to enjoy the beauty of nature. The beans and cornfields looked like they were doing very well. There has been enough rain this summer to produce a good yield. Along the way we saw a large group of butterflies flitting around with some landing in the nearby trees. We could get really close to them. Here is a picture of one of them.
Jeanette loves to cook, especially on an open fire. The first day we had burgers for lunch and a fantastic stew she made with many of the vegetables grown in their garden. As you can see below, we ate all our meals in the screen room. It was very windy and rather cool so the screen room kept things warmer and from being blown off the table. It also helped keep the mosquitoes away from us.

You can see the big pot of stew in this picture.
After dinner, Vera and Charlotte went into the house with Jeanette to see the many projects in her sewing room. Jeanette makes some of her clothes, enjoys quilting (she has many beautiful examples of her work), makes jewelry, dyes her own fabric and much, much more. It is incredible all the things she can do.
