My Mom joined us for today’s trip to nearby La Porte to see my stepsister Shirley and her husband Jerry. It had been a while since seeing each other and we had a wonderful few hours to catch up on things happening with our families at lunch. Here is a picture of Shirley and Jerry at their home.

We then returned to Michigan City with Mom to go see her Doctor concerning last weeks hospital visit. He ordered some new blood tests for her and told her to go home and not worry, as things seemed normal. This was good news for all of us.

Later in the evening, we received a call from our great friends Richard and Vera. They arrived here a day earlier than planned. It was great to see them again. We went to dinner and talked about our plans for the next several days in Indiana.
