Vera sprained her ankle a couple of days ago. She isn’t sure how it happened but it sure hurts a lot. Our plan today was to stay around the motor homes for her to rest with her foot up. Richard and I wanted to take care of a few maintenance issues. We both got our bucket of water and each cleaned the outside of our motor home. We also wanted to lubricate the slides and steps. Since we are planning to leave in a couple of days we will be ahead on our checklists. Things were looking good for the next leg of our trip.

After lunch today, Richard and Vera’s Son, Tim called with bad news concerning his Mother in law, Susan. She is in the Hospital and not doing very well. She has been battling cancer for the last couple of years. Vera and Richard decided to leave for New York tomorrow. They want to get there as quickly as possible so it will mean long days of driving for them. We wish them a safe trip home. They invited us to go along but we decided to stay behind. We will go back to Denver tomorrow to see Jill, Karl and Abby once more. After that we will make our way to Indiana and spend our extra time with our families. We will join Richard and Vera later perhaps in Indiana or Ohio. We ask that everyone please remember Susan and her family in your prayers.
