Today’s trip was to Castlewood Canyon State Park. This is a beautiful place with steep rock walls and Cherry Creek running along the floor of the canyon. It is a nature lover’s paradise. There are a dozen trails all less than two miles long, some easy and some difficult. It is a good place for hikers, climbers or leisure walkers. We only went on the easy trails. At 6000 feet, all trails are a little more difficult for me.
Vera stopped to take a picture of some Indian Paint Brush flowers along the trail. A humming bird came to check the flowers at the same time. What are the odds that would happen? I don’t know but I do know it is a great picture.
We planned to watch Abby’s baseball practice tonight but it was cancelled due to rain. We were already on the road so instead we went to Jill’s house. Abby taught us how to play a new game called Mancala. Abby is very good and it was fun watching her win most of the time.

Looks like you guys are having a wonderful time visiting with family, friends and see the sights.
How is the weather? Looks like you have jackets on in a couple of pictures.
Take care and be careful!
Derek and Joy,
Sorry this has taken so long. I have been having a problem adding comments. My teacher gave me some new instructions today that should allow me to accomplish this task.
We are having a fantastic time traveling. This is the best job I have ever had.
The weather has been very warm the last few weeks. It is upper 90's most of the time. It is a little better than Florida because we don't have the humidity.
Have fun and enjoy the Florida sunshine.
